We would like to take this opportunity to announce to you that, our 2007/2008 Partners Brochure has been successfully printed. The project was launched in June 2006 and it took us exactly 3 months to come out with the concept, design and the production of the brochure, of which, we are actually ahead of our schedule (01 Nov 2006).

Our brochure of 160 pages, will be sent to all our preferred partners worldwide. We believe with this brochure, it will further enable you to even know more about our company and also what our country has to offer.

Rasa Sayang to re-open soon
PENANG: Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, in its final stages of a RM100mil redevelopment, will re-open on Sept 28. Its general manager Arbind K. Shrestha said the resort had been transformed and this could be seen in the rustic wooden shingles on the rooftop of the new RM14mil CHI, The Spa, to its spacious rooms and suites. (more)
Tiger Airways set to fly to Sarawak


Singapore's budget carrier, Tiger Airways, is set to fly to Sarawak. State Tourism and Urban Development Minister Datuk Wong Soon Koh said the Transport Ministry has given the green light to Tiger Airways to fly to Kuching, Miri and Sibu.(more)

Ang Lee gives Ipoh a feel of Hollywood
IPOH: Shooting for award-winning Taiwanese director Ang Lee's latest film Lust, Caution here started off without much fuss.

Lee, who recently won an Oscar for best director for Brokeback Mountain, arrived at Jalan Bandar Timah for a last-minute inspection at 11.45am yesterday. (more)

Ramadhan (Fasting period 24 Sep till 23 Oct 2006)
Ramadhan is a religious month for all Muslims throughout the world. It is the time of fasting when they must refrain from food as well as abstain from immoral behaviour and attitudes. Muslims dedicate this time to inner reflection, devotion to God as well as the practice of self-control.The month of Ramadan is a time for spiritual reflection, prayer, doing good deeds and spending time with family and friends. Fasting is intended to help teach Muslims self-discipline and generosity.
It also reminds them of the suffering of the poor, who rarely get to eat well. It is common to have one meal (known as the Sahur), just before sunrise and another (known as the Iftar or Buka Puasa) directly after sunset (more)
Rossi wins Sepang thriller
SEPANG: The Italian world champion overtook Capirossi in the last lap and pulled away to win the 21-lap race in 43:07.829.

Capirossi, the winner for Ducati here last year, tried one last overtaking move at the final corner but failed to get past Rossi and came home second in 43:08.678. (more)
