Depart from your hotel for a 3 hours drive into the Northern Tip of Sabah. Drive to the TIP of Kudat, also known as Simpang Mengayau. Reaching there is a significant achievement on its own as you have basically reached the very TIP OF BORNEO island where the South China Sea and Sulu Sea meets. After Lunch proceed to Long House. Kudat is home to Sabah's most traditional tribal group, the RUNGUS (pronounced Roong-oose), which are fascinating and friendly people. Settle at Bavanggazo Village to witness the lifestyle, culture and traditional costume and beads of the Rungus. You will enjoy dinner and a cultural performance, before you spend the night in basic longhouse accommodation. (L/D)
After breakfast at the Longhouse, proceed to visit the Gombizau Village, where you have the chance to watch how local honey is produced. Also do not miss the opportunity to buy authentic local handicrafts and souvenirs. Next stop, the Sumangkap Village, a well known gong (a traditional instrument) making centre. After lunch at local restaurant you will transfer back to Kota Kinabalu. (B/L)
