Arrive at Kuching Airport, meet and transfer to the city, commence tour of Kuching City & River Tour (4 hours). The perfect introduction to Sarawak’s historic capital, this tour includes Kuching’s Chinatown, the Cat Statue (Kuching means “Cat” in Malay), the colourful Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple, the Civic Centre Viewing Platform and the world famous Sarawak Museum.  Across river, visit the unique Cat Museum, passing the magnificent State Mosque and the Astana, the former residence of the White Rajahs.  Return via the golden-domed City Mosque and proceed on foot through Old Kuching, visiting the colourful Central Markets and squeezing through narrow alleyways crammed with spice dealers and textile shops.   Pass by the heritage buildings of the White Rajah era, the Pavilion, the Square Tower, the Court House, the Charles Brooke Monument and the Post Office. Before tour end, take a short 1-hour pontoon boat river cruise viewing the city. Check-in to the hotel after tour, rest of the day free at leisure.  

Check-out from the hotel. Begin journey to Batang Ai, approximately 166 miles from Kuching City, passing through scenic countryside consisting of quaint little towns, villages, paddy fields, pepper and oil palm plantations interspersed with secondary and virgin jungle as the road starts to wind and undulate as you go deeper into the interior.  Stop for lunch at Lachau, a small town on the way to the resort.  Arrive at the Hydro Lake at Lubok Antu. Board a shuttle ferry for the resort situated on the southern bank. Dinner serve at the resort.   

 

Depart the Resort by shuttle boat to the Batang Ai Jetty before starting your overland journey to the Lemanak River. Arrive at Lemanak jetty for a longboat ride up the Lemanak River, passing through typical Borneo countryside with a longhouse tucked behind almost every bend in the river.   Arrive at an Iban Longhouse and visit the “entire village under one roof.”  Enjoy a short cultural performance by the inhabitant of the longhouse followed later on by a blow pipe demonstration.  Lunch will be provided and if weather permits we will go for a short jungle walk around the vicinity of the longhouse.  Later on in the afternoon return back to the Resort via the same route.  Return down river to Batang Ai Jetty.  

 

before continue journey to airport. Meet at Miri airport and transfer to hotel for check in, rest of the day free at own leisure. 

Meet on arrival at Mulu airport and transfer to resort for check in. In the afternoon, transfer to Mulu Park HQ and take the 3 km plankwalk to explore Lang's and Deer Caves. Watch the bats flights if weather permit and return to the Park HQ and transfer back to resort. Free at own leisure, dinner serve at resort. 

Free to explore the surrounding Mulu area on your own before your transfer to Mulu airport for your flight to your onward destination.
