The Orang Utan Island (OUI) was founded in year 2000 with only 3 primates, now has 23 red-haired orang utans roaming the grounds, which are designed to resemble its natural rainforest habitat. Learn about why these primates are endangered and how the research centre here is working to breed, monitor, train and rehabilitate them to increase the population of orang utans in the world.
