The Monsopiad head-hunters, most feared and revered warriors of the Kadazandusun tribe are now brought back to life, so to speak, as the later generations set up this Monsopiad cultural village to remember their forefather. Houses are built the traditional way, with bamboo and within it, the ‘House of Skulls’ is a top draw although it may send chills down your spine, together with artefacts like swords, costumes and megaliths. Other features within the village include a suspension bridge, learning of traditional folk games and Kotos. The natives aim to make this village a ‘living museum’ and preserve the way of life of the Kadazandusun.
