| Day 1 |
Pick-up from Hotel in Sandakan or meet upon arrival at the Sandakan Airport (preferably on MH 2042 ETA: 07400hrs). Drive for approximately 30 minutes to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. Proceed to the free roaming area and feeding platform to witness feeding time at 1000hrs. At this center, observe as man’s closest relative, “the Orang Utan” is rehabilitated to the wild of their natural habitat. Also, experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp Forest of Borneo. Depart Sepilok and transfer to Sim-sim Jetty for boat departure. Take an hour boat cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary where you will take your lunch at Abai Jungle Restaurant. This is a wonderful journey of discovery which starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan Town through a magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest. After lunch, cruise up river to Sukau village in search of primates especially the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Arrive Sukau and check in at Lodge. Late afternoon, have the option to take another river cruise with electric motor to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan. Return to lodge for dinner & overnight at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge.

Day 2 |
Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills. Early morning, take a
river cruise trip to the Ox Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience
the early morning river ambience. Return to the lodge for breakfast then
free at own leisure. After lunch, proceed 27 km overland to Gomantong
Caves. Trek 20 minutes through the rainforest to the cave entrance. Your
guide will brief you on the cave faunas including bats, swiftlets and
crabs among others and their contribution to maintaining a balanced
ecology and significance to the local economy. When in season, witness
the collecting of birds' nests by the local people using bamboo ladders
and poles. Return back to the lodge for late afternoon river cruise with
electric motor to search for more wildlife. Dinner and overnight at
Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge.

Day 3
|
After breakfast, river cruise down by boat back to Sandakan. Another chance for wildlife sightings as well will stop by Abai Jungle Lodge for a coffee with this approximately 3 hours journey. Upon arrival at jetty, drive up hill to the Puh Jih Syh Chinese Buddhist Temple, this offers a panoramic view of the Sandakan Bay. After lunch, transfer to the Airport for flight MH 2709 (ETD:1415hrs) or Hotel.
